20260606-Red-Shouldered Hawk-1

Today, I got to release a Red-shouldered Hawk this evening! I picked up this guy in Alexandria, IN, after a sweet family found this little guy in their yard, unable to fly. It was shortly after a huge line of storms blew through. On first examination, we noticed swelling in the foot but no major injuries. This release was long anticipated, as both the finder and I were excited to see this guy get home! Neighbors have seen the hawk's family flying throughout the neighborhood, so we were glad to return this guy home!
