**RELEASE**  On 10/12/2025, the Eagle was released.  Happy Trails! 

On 9/14/2025, Indiana conservation officer Nathan contacted Lana, saying he had an injured Bald Eagle. I met Nathan at the intersection of I-69 and SR 6. He informed me someone had found the bird on a lane off of County Road 38 in DeKalb County. The bird was lethargic and was easily handled. A wound was located on the bird's sternum. I transported the eagle to the ICU at Soarin' Hawk, where a thorough exam was performed. The crop was full, and he had a keel of four. The chest wound was more of an abrasion.

Rescue Team Louie and Lana
