This owlet was found in the middle of the street by the callers to our rescue line. It was picked up in Sycamore , IN. The callers were very concerned as it appears it was being attacked by some starlings plus there was a number of cars driving in the area. This sweet couple drove the bird to our treatment facility. It was examined and determined to be healthy. On 05/22 our volunteers drove this guy back to Sycamore to try to renest it. Unfortunately there was no obvious Eastern Screech Owl nests to be found. There had been a tree trimming service in the area, the concern was that it been on a trimmed limb and put in the truck. There was no way to determine its nest’s location.
