History

Eastern Screech Owl, the homeowner discovered it on their driveway with limited motion. Severe fracture of the right tibial tarsal leg bone. Fracture has been splinted and waiting for the healing to begin. 05/11/2017 He is tearing up whole food on his own.  He is being moved to a flight pen with other screech owls.  His weight will be monitored closely. He will be released in a few weeks. 05/29/2017 This little guy is doing fantastically!  His tibia was shattered and we were very unsure if he would heal well enough to be released.  But he has healed perfectly!  He will be given another couple weeks to let his leg get to full strength and then he will be released. 07/20/2017 Somehow during the rehab process, this little guy broke all his tail feathers!  We are waiting on his tail feathers to regrow before we release him.   08/17/2017 We are still waiting on him to replace all his tail feathers before he is released.  Other than that he is doing great!
