20150816-Eastern Screech Owl

08162016-ESOW He is doing great!  He is in a flight pen with our other young screech owls.  He will be released later this fall. 08162016 ESOW An immature Eastern Screech Owl was picked up in the middle of a street by Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control.  It was quiet but alert and a good weight.  It is getting its adult feathers in on his head.  Radiographs did not reveal any obvious fractures.  It is hoped that the little guy just has a mild concussion and will be able to be released with our orphaned Screech Owls in the fall.    Many thanks again to the dedicated folks at Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control !!!
