Update:  10/21/2024 - the owl was released today -- best wishes, little one!

On Oct.16, a woman called Soarin’Hawk said she found an owl outside her patio door, leading out to a deck outside. She put a box over it. When we got there and removed the box, the owl was on his back. It was a Northern Saw-Whet owl, which is not common here!  When I picked him up, he was feisty and alert, with no obvious injuries. When the ICU checked him out, they could see no obvious injuries, but he had some balance problems and could not fly. His keel was good.   Apparently, he still is not flying.
