20240805-Cooper's Hawk-2

 On 8/5, a woman called and said that she had a hawk on her step on her back porch. He had been there since the evening of 8/4. She observed him hopping to a bush in her yard, but then he returned to her porch. When I arrived, I was able to approach him and put a sheet over him. This was unusual for a Coopers Hawk because they usually run.

When he was examined in the ICU, there were no apparent injuries. He was just a little thin. Today he is jumping around in his cage. He will continue to be observed.
