20240727-Cooper's Hawk-1

 On 7/27, Soarin’Hawk received a call from a man who said he had a hawk on his back porch. He said the hawk tried to fly over the fence and was unable.  When we got to the bird, it was a young Cooper’s hawk, and as typical for Cooper’s hawks, it ran through several yards, and eventually flew over a fence. We chased it through the yards and over the fence, finally capturing it in a bush. It had a droopy wing.

At the ICU, he was x-rayed and had a possible injury to the collar bone area. The wing was wrapped and he was given pain meds. He will be further evaluated on Monday.
