20240116-American Kestrel-1

1/16/2024 - Bird was admitted to ICU. 

!RELEASE!  On March 23, 2024 at approximately 2:30pm, we released the male kestrel that was admitted to SH on January 16, 2024 with a fractured right wing. He was rescued and released at a rural location west of LaGrange, IN.  The caller and his wife were present at the release along with 3 SH volunteers, Sharon Partridge, Brian Grubb, Cody (training). The kestrel flew from the box to a nearby utility pole.  He sat for approximately 10 minutes, took flight and soared on the breeze.
