UPDATE: 12/27/2020 We never found any injuries to this bird. We kept it for observation until we were sure it had no injuries. It was released 12/27/2020 close to where it was picked up. Apparently it wasn't to sure about leaving and had to be encouraged . There is no video of the release but stills were taken and attached

A person hit this eastern screech owl with their car. They kindly stopped and picked it up and took it to work with them. It escaped there and ran into a window.  A conservation officer from  Kosciusko County brought it to our treatment facility the following morning. After its initial evaluation it had  no apparent injuries. The decision was made to keep it for observation for a couple of days to make sure there was no head trauma. It appears to be doing well , so hopefully it can be released in the near future

How You Can Help

It's important to rescue, rehab, and share these birds with the community, and we thank our donors and volunteers for making it possible.
