Soarin Hawk received a call regarding an injured Sharp-Shinnned Hawk that had flown into a window. I responded to the area of Tonkel & Dupont and met the homeowners who called. The very small and young Coopers Hawk was lying on their patio unable to fly. He had flown into a window. He was covered with a sheet and then pick up. He had an obvious injury to the right wing, the radius and ulna. Trauma and a possible fracture were palpated in the right Ulna and Radius in the wing. He was placed in a transport box and taken to the Soarin Hawk Intensive Care Unit (ICU). His wing was splinted, and a tail guard was applied. Pain/anti-inflammatory and antibiotic medications were administered.
