UPDATE: This morning Lisa called telling Lana & I there was a hawk that had struck a window, while chasing a dove. The hawk survived, the dove did not. Dave Nyhof had the bird contained and was waiting for our arrival at Shipshewana, IN. Upon examination Lana and I could find no obvious injury. The hawk was aggressive and appeared healthy. We transported the bird to the Pine Valley Vet Clinic where it was checked by the Soarin' Hawk Avian Veterinarian, Dr. Funnell. Radiographs were taken with no injuries noted. Lana and I transported the hawk to the Soarin' hawk headquarters where we creanced the bird to verify it could fly. The hawk was then returned to the home where it had originally struck the window, where it was released.

How You Can Help

It's important to rescue, rehab, and share these birds with the community, and we thank our donors and volunteers for making it possible.
