UPDATE: 10/27/2020 This owl was successfully released about a mile from where it was picked up. See attached video

Called to pick up an Eastern Screech - gray, from up near Churubusco. Callers indicated he had been found in the middle of a road and appeared dazed. They indicated he flew a little bit but came right back down and they were able to go pick him up. Brochures were handed out and the folks were instructed on how to see about him on our web site. They would like him released back in their area.

They indicated he flew a bit and came right down where they were able to go over and pick him up. Brochures were handed out and the folks were instructed on how to get information on him. They definitely want him released back in their area.

He was taken to ICU and will be triaged later today. As always, we hope and pray these little guys can get better and be returned to their natural habitat in the area they were found.
