UPDATE: 09/02/2020 This young vulture has been doing very well in our flight pen. Since vultures will start migration soon, today we decided to release this vulture with the group of vultures that frequent our facility .
Our rescue line was called to pick up a Turkey Vulture at FWACC on Sunday morning. He was found in a garage downtown near Zesto’s. When we picked it up he was agressive and full of himself. I noticed no injuries.
I took him to ICU where he was triaged and found to have no discernible injuries.
As always we hope and pray these guys can back to nature. Prayers for you buddy.

08/18/2020 This young vulture is unable to fly for some reason. it has no visible injuries and its physical exam was normal. sometimes a bird can have an injury to muscles or ligaments that cannot be found by x-ray or a physical exam. We are treating it for pain and keeping it quiet and fed. We will check out its ability to fly in a few weeks
08/22/2020 This vulture was moved to our rehabilitation facility. It will have more room to hopefully fly and strengthen its flight muscles
