Called to get a red tailed hawk that had been down for nearly 4 days in Blufton. Stacey and I went down a road about a mile or two, got out of the car and walked about 1/4 - 1/2 mile down a lane where her son had managed to put the bird under a laundry basket. Bird apparently had no injuries to be seen. Brochures were handed out and it was explained how to see the bird and it’s status on our website. I took the bird to ICU.

Bird was triaged by Diana and Suz. Bird had a fracture of the radius or ulna - suspected and will go in for X-rays.

We hope and pray for these guys that they get better and return to the wild. Prayers for you little one.
