Young, fell out of nest

On July 10th, a woman who was house sitting for a friend called Soarin' Hawk and said she had a baby kestrel in the back yard.  After seeing a picture of it, I recommended that she put it back in a nest or at the base of a tree for the parents to take care of.  She said she did not know where a nest was, and could not put her at the base of a tree because of the dogs going outside.  She kept it until the next morning and brought it to the Kendallville veterinary office where Dr. Funnell was working that day.

How You Can Help

It's important to rescue, rehab, and share these birds with the community, and we thank our donors and volunteers for making it possible.
