UPDATE: 07/09/21 This young kestrel passed all its necessary evaluations to be released. It was released today in Bicentennial Woods in Huntertown, IN . See attached video

This baby Kestrel was picked up from Animal Care and Control in Fort Wayne. It was said that the bird had hit a window. He was taken to Soarinhawk’s ICU for initial exam which offered no significant findings. Bird was able to stand and fly but did have a very low keel score and weight of 86 grams. He is extremely vocal. The kestrel’s weight will be monitored closely as it will need to gain some weight before release is possible.
