UPDATE: 08/14/2017 After two months of care at our facility, this bird was found healthy enough to be released. After regaining its strength through creance flying sessions and demonstrating its ability to catch live prey, it was released in Bluffton, IN on 08/12/2017.

This red-tailed hawk was picked up by volunteer Robbie in Bluffton, IN on June 15, 2017.  The homeowner who contacted Soarin' Hawk said that the bird had been sitting in a driveway for two days.  The bird was weak and undernourished, and it refused to flee when approached.

It was taken to our facility in Fort Wayne to be monitored and given the nourishment needed to regain a healthy amount of weight.
