UPDATE: 07/20/2019 This young Kestrel has matured enough to be released

On 6/13/19 Soarin' Hawk admitted their 11th baby kestrel.  Kat, the vet tech, examined the bird and didn't find any injuries.  This kestrel was weighed and a keels score was taken.  Both were within normal range.  This bird will stay in ICU to ensure that he is eating properly and that he is maintaining weight; then he will be moved to the pens.

06/22/19 This young kestrel has been moved to our rehabilitation facility.  It is with our other young kestrels until it is old enough to be released.

How You Can Help

It's important to rescue, rehab, and share these birds with the community, and we thank our donors and volunteers for making it possible.
