UPDATE: 06/04/19 This Owl was examined by our veterinarian . It was determined to be healthy and with a brood patch. We returned it to the area it was picked up so it could continue caring for its young

Our call line received a call about a great horned owl that was eating their chickens.  They had caught the owl in a live trap. Our volunteer picked up the owl and transported it to our treatment center.

It was found to be a healthy owl with a brood patch, so we knew there was a nest that we needed to get her back to.

The same volunteer took her back to the area that was most likely to contain her nest.

How You Can Help

It's important to rescue, rehab, and share these birds with the community, and we thank our donors and volunteers for making it possible.
