UPDATE: 07/06/21 This Kestrel was released today in Angola, IN . See attached video

One of our volunteers received a call about a young bird down in someone's back yard. The concern for this bird was because there was a dog on the property. for the safety of the bird it was felt the best thing to do was to bring it to our treatment facility to be checked over. It appears to be a healthy bird. We have placed it in an enclosure with our other juvenile amercian kestrel . The will stay with us until they are both old enough to be tested for their ability to fly and find live prey on their own.

06/04/21 This young kestrel is doing well. It has been paired with another kestrel  for companionship. They are both doing well and eating on their own. It is just a matter of waiting for them to grow enough to be released

How You Can Help

It's important to rescue, rehab, and share these birds with the community, and we thank our donors and volunteers for making it possible.
