Via volunteer Ron:

I was called today to rescue baby screech owl by Rome City.  It was a neighborhood event.  A large tree blew over in the wind storm last night.  There were 5 baby owls; two drowned and three survived.  One was pulled from the water and dried the other two survivors were in a tree.  We looked and watched for parents, though none were seen.  Because there were cats in the area according to the group of neighbors, I decided the best interest of the birds was to remove them. They would like them released on their property if the make it.

How You Can Help

It's important to rescue, rehab, and share these birds with the community, and we thank our donors and volunteers for making it possible.
