medical exam by our avian veterinarian: This beautiful red-phase Eastern Screech Owl was quite lethargic on presentation. It had a small laceration on its right shoulder, a fractured right radius, bruising on its right third eyelid and a broken pelvis.  The broken radius will heal well with the ulna acting as a splint. Only time will tell if the pelvis heals well enough for this little owl to be released. Please considering donating to help cover the cost of this beautiful bird's care.

3-38-2017: Unfortunately this little guy healed without good extension in his right elbow which makes him non-releasable.  He is in training on the glove to be placed as an education bird.

How You Can Help

It's important to rescue, rehab, and share these birds with the community, and we thank our donors and volunteers for making it possible.
